Nice to meet you, and thank you for being part of one of my favourite end of year traditions. Yuletide is something I'm always super excited about. Please don't be intimidated by the length of this letter-it's all enthusiasm!.So long as you steer clear of my DNWs, what I most want is for you to enjoy yourself. Think of my prompts as suggestions only. If a different idea jumps into your head that you are dying to write, please write that! I want you to have fun with this.
I like so very many things. I love things that feel like an extension of canon; I love things that turn my understanding of canon inside out; I love even the most cliched mundane AUs (a couple of exceptions in my DNWs); I love fluff, angst, smut, plottiness, humour, things that make me ache and cry, things that make me grin like a lunatic.
If there's common themes in things I love, I have a weakness for characters who are lonely or have low self esteem learning to love and be loved or learn to love themselves; or love that seems impossible flourishing; and I am here for the most shameless tropes. But I've also loved broken sad pieces and unsettling dark pieces and funny short pieces, so don't feel constrained by that.
I am equally fine with unconventional narrative forms, or the most conventional. If you choose to write penetrative sex, I don't place any particular importance on who penetrates.
You like my rare canons and characters enough to write for me, I am already excited and grateful! I'll love it.
