kanna_opheliaHello and thank you for joining the fastest leg of the Triple Crown. So excited! This is going to have a lot of repeated prompts from the other two legs, but the fandom mix is slightly different and I've tried to suggest things that seem easy to write. At least to me.
Safety fandoms note: Original Work, in which I requested mostly f/f and m/m pining, and The Amateur Cracksman (the first Raffles short story collection about Edwardian gentleman thieves, Project Gutenberg link) are my safety fandoms. In addition, if I'm lingering and you are an incredibly kind person thinking of picking up something for me, Billabong was nominated as a series and I would love something from any point in canon, but for Jim/Wally I would be equally delighted for something based purely on Jim and Wally (Project Gutenberg link). In that case, we have brave, laconic and devoted young Australians off to fight in the Great War. (Extra note: I don't remember Jim and Wally being the worst Billabong book for period-typical racism and classism, probably because it isn't set in Australia, but Mary Grant Bruce needs a blanket warning anyway.)
Please don't be put off by the length of this letter. I've tried to give enough substance in prompts to inspire a 10K fic, but if you have a completely different idea you would prefer to write, I'm excited to see what you come up with. I always say and mean that, but it goes double for Heart Attack. I'm happy to receive any tense, any POV, any format (epistolary, interactive, in-universe, whatever inspires you), any rating from G to E. If you're stuck for a quick idea, I really do love 5 (or other number) times fics, either the traditional ones that are AUs of the same scene, or "five times X kissed Y.". Or Groundhog Day. Or 10K of smut if that's easier for you. Most of all I want you to have fun with what you write.

My favourite canon for pining schoolgirls

Bill/Clarissa is one of my oldest and most beloved pairings. I could read endless variations on them realising they love each other That Way, and oblivious mutual pining slow burn, either at school or afterwards; or facing what it means to be in love with another girl.
On the other hand, Moira/Catherine gets me because it could go in very different directions, either maximum toxicity as Moria's aggression and Catherine's martyr tendencies face off, or two girls who are really bad at making people like them finding that they can at least accept and love each other. (I never got over "her beloved Moira".)

* The audio adaptation of In the Fifth made the bold choice of having Clarissa play the Prince in Cinderella. I am so up for seeing this as an AU. Bill watching Clarissa have tender scenes with feminine, pretty Mary-Lou; little, timid Clarissa forced to deal with a dashing male lead role...
* Catherine canonically leaves Malory Towers right before final term. How did that sit with Moira?

Billabong - Mary Grant Bruce (Jim Linton/Wally Meadows
I want Wally whump, let's be honest here
Prompt: Ideas: Wally being physically or emotionally suffering or endangered and Jim protecting or comforting him, at boarding school, pre-War, at War, post-War... Also loyalty kink. Please feel free to go with your own ideas, and I'm always open to 5 (give or take) times fics!

I grew up on these books, just like my Nanna, although my copies had been edited more for modern sensibilities. So much of my childhood daydreaming was set on Billabong. But Norah and Wally's marriage never seemed convincing to me when Wally and Jim seemed to mean more to each other in a less sibling way. Apparently Norah and Jim agreeing that Wally isn't like them, he's sensitive inflitrated my id, and I like my sensitive Queenslander orphan being whumped or protected or comforted or all three.
I love Billabong as a setting, being an Outback girl by birth, but I also love the trenches of WWI and their angst potential.
* Wally suffering snake bites (that scene), illness, falling from trees, trees falling on him, being thrown from a horse, being crushed by a bullock, trapped by bushfire, bullied at school, captured by bushrangers (etc etc etc), and suffering nobly but sensitively in a way that ends up with Jim kissing him (or more).
* Angst and pining and sex in the trenches
* Jealousy leading to revelations: surely some pretty English nurse flirted with one of the handsome Australian boys, either when recovering from being gassed or some other point, and they are such friendly lads
* Any of the angst and devotion potential of the main drama Jim and Wally, because properly it should have ended with Wally confessing his feelings and the fallout from that
* Adventures in the bush leading to boys kissing (and/or more)

One of my first OTPs and also Cardassians are really pretty, as is Julian

* Amnesia tropes! So, just what IS our relationship? What are these feelings? Surely we were together!
* What if clone!Julian was far more romantically available than the real thing? What happens when Garak finds out his mistake?

Nero Wolfe — Rex Stout
I am here for loyalty kink and body worship and cosy hard-boiled
Prompt: I adore Archie, I adore Wolfe, I adore their dynamics, and adding some romance and optionally sex and body worship to that would be fantastic. I just love these books so much, and most of all I love the codependent, dysfunctional but immensely satisfying relationship between these two. Please no poly or, on the other hand, infidelity or broken hearts—I prefer Lily either not mentioned, a friend or just a good times were had by all, no hard feelings setup.
* I really love the idea that Archie is massively invested in the idea that Wolfe is the fattest, the cleverest, the most eccentric man in creation and that everyone has to be suitably impressed. What happens if the throne is challenged?
* Any kind of situation where Archie gets to worry himself to death over Wolfe's safety and comfort while simultaneously resenting him for putting him through it—prison! Freezing! Starving! Captured! Wounded! Accused of murder!
* Or Wolfe forced to care for Archie for a change in similar circumstances. (Side note: I love it when they can verbally abuse each other but the minute someone else shows a lack of respect...)
* I'm all for weight gain and feederism kink for these two, whoever is being fed up, as long as it's tender
* Mutual insecurity where Wolfe thinks Archie is the greatest Don Juan in existence and would never be interested in an old, obese man, while Archie assumes a genius like Wolfe would look down on him even if he was remotely interested in sex and romance
* Working on a case tpgether while in love. I can't write or prompt for casefic for my life, but I adore it.
* I love the canon setting, but if you want to make this a modern AU in order to do fake relationship or marriage of convenience, I'm sure not going to stop you

These are my favourite versions of the demon and angel even though I love all of them and also I adore Tracy
Prompt: I ship Crowley/Aziraphale like fire and love their book versions like burning and 10,000 words of them would be amazing, and also I adore Tracy so so so much and her interacting with the demon and angel more would just be wonderful.

* The Arrangement in action. I'd especially love to see Aziraphale doing "quick temptations" or taking glee in setting up good deeds for Crowley.
* Crowley and Aziraphale are in trouble again, and without The Book, they turn to Tracy for help
* Aziraphale makes good on his suggestion that they owe Tracy and Shadwell lunch, but some kind of shenanigans ensue
* Tracy and Shadwell retire to the country. There's also a retiring angel and devil around...
* Tracy (and the other humans) are in danger from Heaven and/or Hell who are pissed off with things going wrong
* Do you suspect "Crowley and Aziraphale decide to explore human sex with each other and find that they have repressed feelings but actually they are really bad at feelings" has been done too often to be welcome? Think again!
* Return to Heaven/Hell: Crowley gets his pitchfork and/or Aziraphale gets his harp, and they have to face the irritating and insupportable prospect of never seeing each other again.
* Absolutely anything to do with the bookstore, and/or the adult bookstore next door.
* Give me any kind of awkward slow-burn with the book boys, canon or human AU of your choice.
* If you share my headcanon that Crowley looks much younger and more conventionally attractive than Aziraphale, "mistaken for a sugar pup or sex worker by an outsider and plays up to it" mischief by Crowley, or a human AU where this actually happens

John/Arthur is my newest obsession. Unwilling development of love and loyalty, Stockholm syndrome and Lima syndrome, Us against the (terrible) Universe, loving your demon, the ultimate in forced proximity... Gosh, so much good stuff. And I adore the setting. A new episode is an Event.
* Canon divergence AU in which another of the possible choices was made: what if Arthur asked the being possessing the disembodied Head who John was? What if the other investigation path had been taken right back at the bookshop? What if they had gone in to greet the mother of the baby? What if Arthur had been more discreet in the hospital? Or anything else...
* AU where John's true identity was different to [Spoiler]
* Just more facing horrible scary things in an investigation while having a dysfunctional but oddly tender relationship/possession, please. Can come from other horror traditions than the Lovecraft mythos.
* Exploration of sex when one of you has the eyes, a hand and a foot, and the other has... well.
* So how DO you propose a long time romantic relationship to the demonic being who has taken up residence in your head and some body parts? Or vice versa?

This is a pretty new to me fandom, and I just could not get over how completely gone Bunny is on Raffles, and how much any sign of reciprocal fondness meant to him... and also that he seems to terminally underestimate what he means to Raffles. Delicious.
* Any situation of high drama/danger that leads either Bunny to blurt out his feelings or for Raffles to make his own deliciously clear
* Jealousy! Bunny can't always just adoringly watch Raffles circle the room with a young woman while everyone draws aside in admiration at his expertise. Surely he gets jealous when his dashing friend is so admired.
* If you can bring cricket into it, either matches or general culture, I will be delighted.
* What if one of them comes into some of the ready and no longer needs to thieve? What will the other need them for then, huh? Commence pining.
* If you're up for it, I really like their kind of insecurity at the bottom edge of the Right People, where Raffles only gets invited around for his cricket, and the way they both seem to fake not being as hard-up as they are. Something around class issues would be fantastic

Bill/Clarissa is one of my oldest and most beloved pairings. I could read endless variations on them realising they love each other That Way, and oblivious mutual pining slow burn, either at school or afterwards; or facing what it means to be in love with another girl.
On the other hand, Moira/Catherine gets me because it could go in very different directions, either maximum toxicity as Moria's aggression and Catherine's martyr tendencies face off, or two girls who are really bad at making people like them finding that they can at least accept and love each other. (I never got over "her beloved Moira".)

I grew up on these books, just like my Nanna, although my copies had been edited more for modern sensibilities. So much of my childhood daydreaming was set on Billabong. But Norah and Wally's marriage never seemed convincing to me when Wally and Jim seemed to mean more to each other in a less sibling way. Apparently Norah and Jim agreeing that Wally isn't like them, he's sensitive inflitrated my id, and I like my sensitive Queenslander orphan being whumped or protected or comforted or all three.
I love Billabong as a setting, being an Outback girl by birth, but I also love the trenches of WWI and their angst potential.
* Wally suffering snake bites (that scene), illness, falling from trees, trees falling on him, being thrown from a horse, being crushed by a bullock, trapped by bushfire, bullied at school, captured by bushrangers (etc etc etc), and suffering nobly but sensitively in a way that ends up with Jim kissing him (or more).

I just love these books so much, and most of all I love the codependent, dysfunctional but immensely satisfying relationship between these two. * I really love the idea that Archie is massively invested in the idea that Wolfe is the fattest, the cleverest, the most eccentric man in creation and that everyone has to be suitably impressed. What happens if the throne is challenged?
* Any kind of situation where Archie gets to worry himself to death over Wolfe's safety and comfort while simultaneously resenting him for putting him through it—prison! Freezing! Starving! Captured! Wounded! Accused of murder!
* Or Wolfe forced to care for Archie for a change in similar circumstances. (Side note: I love it when they can verbally abuse each other but the minute someone else shows a lack of respect...)

This is a pretty new to me fandom, and I just could not get over how completely gone Bunny is on Raffles, and how much any sign of reciprocal fondness meant to him... and also that he seems to terminally underestimate what he means to Raffles. Delicious.
* Any situation of high drama/danger that leads either Bunny to blurt out his feelings or for Raffles to make his own deliciously clear
* Jealousy! Bunny can't always just adoringly watch Raffles circle the room with a young woman while everyone draws aside in admiration at his expertise. Surely he gets jealous when his dashing friend is so admired.
